Interlude 1

Well, I have promised you that i'll do one more favor other than expanding your music sense. Haven't I? that's why i am taking this intermission or whatever. If you have read my recent post you might have noticed few words which you know or you don't. Let me give you the brief explanation to them.
Despise: You use this word to show your hatred towards someone. So it mixes with other words like loathe, hate and so on. But this word is often used to show a feeling which is mixed with hate and contempt or scorn.
Scorn is used to indicate the negligence that comes from disgust. Disdain is another word used to indicate the same feeling.
Adulate:When we like someone, we consider them to be good. When the likeliness increases, it reaches to admiration where we happen to praise that person sometimes. The next stage called as adulation. Which can called as excessive praising of someone or any action that indicates their admiration. Example is this, When Rajni Kanth's movie releases in Tamil Nadu, we often see the TV showing people performing weird activities on the release day. They even clean the movie posters with milk. Now that's called adulation.
What? trying to figure out that my native is Tamil Nadu? No way!
Eulogize: It's a nice word which says how nice our words are. It comes from the Latin root i guess, euo = good and the suffix logy = study, adds up to it to make the word. logy is the suffix which we see in many words like Geology, Zoology, Biology and so on.
So eulogy is saying something good. Simple, isn't it? nail down the roots to get the word. The study of words using this roots, prefixes and suffixes is called "Etymology". I think you can figure out this word now.
Cliche: An overused word or phrase. That's it. I think this word originated from French. So, the pronunciation goes like this: (Klee-Shay). This word can be seen in the book called "Word Power Made Easy". A well known book for which no introduction is required. You can find the former word in the same book too.
Ponder: To give something a deep thought. I've read this word in my Engineering from a book called "Data structures through C" by "Samantha".
Contemplate is another word which indicates the same feeling.
What? have I mentioned about my education? oops..........! Sorry, can't resist that technical attribute.
Have I missed any word in my speech? Well, by now you must've figured out the meaning of Interlude. Isn't it?

I am mentioning it once again this stuff is all for the starters of the English language/songs don't feel vexed when you see the information you already know and feel free to post the comments which can improve the blog.

About the photo in my profile

Hell, who cares about what photograph does one have in one's profile. To say, I am an avid fan of Ayn rand and her philosophy. But it doesn't mean that, those who aren't the followers of her philosophy are restricted to join this blog. No one is preaching the philosophy here. This thing is all about the songs and their language and what can be done to understand the language of the songs.
So, forget about the profile and start enjoying the blog. I request everyone to join the blog and leave a comment and not just Ayn Rand's fans.
Enough about her we'll not get into this unless it is required.

Welcome to the realm of music

Here music indicates songs from the English language only. As i have been listening to them so voraciously from the past 4 years.
So anyone who would like to open their gates to this realm of music must first learn to understand the lyrics of the songs. Because, I've heard from few of my friends that, they've found English songs as insipid, irksome and monotonous just because they couldn't figure out the lyrics. Even if those who wouldn't care the lyrics got vexed just because they are not used to the song pattern of it. As, English songs always start with a tune and continue the same thing for the next one or two parts. The Indian people like Indian songs which contain main root beginning part of the song and the 2 foot parts of the song.
My aim is to make English songs and the lyrics familiar to everyone so as to improve their fluency in English which is very crucial in present world. I strongly believe that fluency in English can only be improved with English songs and movies with the former one playing a vital role.
So we will focus on English language first with emphasis laid on songs and who might know, we can learn English through songs. I can even guarantee you that.It will be a fun way to learn and enjoy it and once if you start listening to English songs, you will never quit. It will be a good companion throughout your life especially in hard times.
Are you ready to join me? Lets explore the realm of the music then.
